While going towards the place of execution the three revolutionaries were singing patriotic song in a jovial mood. They were followed by the jail officers on all sides.
फाँसी के स्थल की ओर जाते हुए तीनों क्रांतिकारी प्रसन्नचित्त से देशभक्ति का गीत गा रहे थे। वे चारों तरफ से जेल अधिकारियों से घिरे हुए थे।

Bhagat Singh along with Sukhdev and Rajguru climbed the stairs of the platform steadily and boldly. Bhagat Singh stood in the centre with Sukhdev on his left and Rajguru on his right. They raised the slogan ‘Inqualab Zindabad, Samrajyavad Murdabad’ in a loud and clear voice. They pulled the hangman’s rope, kissed it and put it round their necks. The hangman set the rope and turned the spindle. The board fell and the three revolutionaries sacrificed their life.
राजगुरु और सुखदेव के साथ भगत सिंह मंच की सीढ़ियों पर दृढ़ता और बहादुरी से चढ़े। भगत सिंह बीच में खड़े हुए थे और सुखदेव उनकी बाँयी ओर तथा राजगुरु उनकी दाहिनी ओर थे। उन्होंने तेज और स्पष्ट आवाज में नारा लगाया इन्कलाब जिन्दाबाद, साम्राज्यवाद मुर्दाबाद। उन्होंने जल्लाद से रस्सी ली उसे चूमा और अपने गले में डाल दिया। जल्लाद ने रस्सी को व्यवस्थित किया और खटके को घुमा दिया। तख्ता गिरा और तीनों क्रांतिकारियों ने अपने जीवन का बलिदान दे दिया।

भगतसिंह के अभिभावक जेल के बाहर प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे। उनके साथ एक बड़ी भीड़ थी। भीड़ नियंत्रण के बाहर हो रही थी। उन्हें भय था कि कहीं कोई अप्रिय घटना न हो जाए। ऐसे समय में भी वे अन्य लोगों की सुरक्षा के बारे में सोच रहे थे।
