Answer:
In the case of Kubuddhi and Subuddhi it was decided that Subuddhi will get all the eight hundred gold coins and Kubuddhi will be put into prison.
कुबुद्धि और सुबुद्धि के मामले में यह निर्णय था कि सुबुद्धि को पूरी आठ सौ स्वर्ण मुद्राएँ मिलेंगी और कुबुद्धि को कैद में डाल दिया जायेगा।

सुबुद्धि और कुबुद्धि को एक स्वर्ण कलश मिला। सुबुद्धि ने कुबुद्धि को क्या प्रस्ताव दिया?
Answer:
After finding the pot of gold Subuddhi proposed to Kubuddhi to divide the gold between them and return to their homes.
सुबुद्धि ने स्वर्ण कलश पाने पर कुबुद्धि को प्रस्ताव दिया कि वे सोने को आपस में बाँट लें और अपने घर लौट चलें।

What was Kubuddhi’s plan to cheat his friend?
कुबुद्धि ने अपने दोस्त को ठगने की क्या योजना बनाई?
Answer:
Kubuddhi said to Subuddhi that they should take only one hundred gold coins each and bury the remaining eight hundred gold coins under a tree. He had decided that later he will come alone and take away all the gold. This was his plan to cheat his friend.
कुबुद्धि ने सुबुद्धि से कहा कि उन्हें एक-एक सौ स्वर्ण मुद्राएँ ही लेकर जाना चाहिए और बाकी आठ सौ स्वर्ण मुद्राएँ पेड़ के नीचे गाड़ देना चाहिये। वह निश्चय कर चुका था कि वह बाद में अकेले आकर पूरा सोना ले जायेगा। उसकी अपने मित्र को धोखा देने की यही योजना थी।

How did Kubuddhi take the help of his father in cheating Subuddhi?

Answer:
Kubuddhi hid his father in the hollow trunk of the Banyan tree. When the judge asked the goddess of forest about the thief, his father replied in a deep voice that it was Subuddhi who had stolen the gold. In this way Kubuddhi took the help of his father in cheating Subuddhi.
कुबुद्धि ने अपने पिता को वट वृक्ष के खोखले तने में छुपा दिया। जब न्यायाधीश ने वन देवी से चोर के बारे में पूछा तो उसके पिता ने भारी आवाज में जवाब दिया कि वह सुबुद्धि था जिसने सोना चुराया था। इस तरह कुबुद्धि ने सुबुद्धि को ठगने में अपने पिता की मदद ली।
Question 4.
How did Subuddhi prove himself innocent at last? (M.P. 2012, 16)
सुबुद्धि ने अन्त में किस तरह स्वयं को निर्दोष साबित किया?
Answer:
When the goddess of forest called Subuddhi the thief he understood that there was someone hiding in the hollow tree trunk. He lit a fire around the tree. The smoke forced Kubuddhi’s father who was hiding there in the trunk, to jump out to save his life. When the judge saw this Subuddhi’s innocence was proved at last.
जब वन देवी ने सुबुद्धि को चोर बताया तो वह समझ गया कि पेड़ के खोखले तने में कोई छुपा था। उसने पेड़ के चारों ओर आग जला दी। धुंए ने कुबुद्धि के पिता जो वहाँ तने में छुपे थे, को मजबूर किया कि वो अपनी जान बचाने के लिये बाहर कूद पड़े। जब न्यायाधीश ने यह देखा तो सुबुद्धि की निर्दोषता अंततः साबित हो गयी।
