Religious conquest could not affect southern India because it was safe behind the shield of the Vindhya and Satpura Mountain ranges. The Narmada, Tapti, Mahanadi, Godavari and Krishna rivers had woven a net of almost unassailable southern part.
Describe the appearance of Swami Shivananda.
Swami Shivananda looked like Buddha, wearing a snow white dhoti and wooden slippers. He had an olive complexion and black piercing eyes. He had an irresistible, almost child like smile and gracious manner.

We should take our failures as our destiny and move ahead with our life. We should forget our failure as it is essential to lead our destined path. We should search for the true purpose of our existence and should surrender ourself to the wish of God.
What do you understand by religious conquest and its effect on Indian Culture?
In the tenth century Muslim invaders conquered India and spread Islam here. They brought with them their own culture. Though their religion flourished but despite of being culturally different they mingled with the local people and became an integral part of this country.
